Job description

Job Opportunity : Psychiatrist Child & Adolescent (Locums)

Location : San Francisco, California

Start Date : November 17, 2025 ongoing

Schedule : Day, night, and weekend coverage; 6 hours onsite rounding (starting 8 : 00 AM) followed by on-call until 8 : 00 AM next day; weekend call coverage 1 2 weekends / month

Setting : Acute Care Hospital Psychiatry / Behavioral Health

Assignment Overview

  • Patient census : 6 12 patients / day
  • Inpatient psychiatry with adolescent population focus
  • Scheduled + call coverage required
  • Observed facility holidays
  • EMR : Cerner

Candidate Requirements

  • Board Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry OR

    • BC in General Psychiatry with completed CAP fellowship Required

  • Active CA medical license Required
  • DEA & CSR Required
  • ACLS & BLS Required
  • COVID-19 vaccine + booster (medical / religious exemptions only) Required
  • Experience in psychopharmacology, psychotherapies, adolescent development, family systems, and de-escalation techniques Required

    • Team & Support

  • Multidisciplinary behavioral health team
  • Collaborative treatment planning with families and staff
  • No APP supervision required
