Description

Overview / Function : The Automated Warehouse Material Handler - Hand Stack is responsible for the fulfillment of customer orders by manually retrieving and hand-stacking specific products and quantities, as specified on the pick ticket," topping off" existing pallets produced during the automation processing, and then sending the finished pallet through the Vertique automation system for final machine shrink wrapping. This key role is expected to be performed in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner while maintaining the highest levels for safety, accuracy, and / or efficiency.

Major Responsibilities :

• Assist and facilitate in case picking and stacking within the automated environment using pick tickets and complex conveyor machines while adhering to all established Atlantic Bottling safety procedures and policies.
• Dependably collaborate within a team environment to efficiently follow all warehouse processes.
• Adapt to needs of the role and maintain working knowledge in different work areas throughout the workday including, but not limited to, HQS and SAW Lanes.
• Assist in daily housekeeping and maintenance of the warehouse, including keeping the work area free of trash and debris, as well as cleaning any type of spillage while following all waste removal and recycling protocols.
• Organize empty pallets by pallet type and neatly stacking them in the pallet return area.
• When applicable, safely distribute put back cases to the same sku pallet which they came from in the Vertique processing area.
• Work safely, accurately, and efficiently to control warehouse inventory and to keep shrink at an acceptable level.
• Other duties as required : Perform miscellaneous activities as directed to support the efficient operation of a warehouse in a dynamic environment.
