Subcontracts Specialist

This position is responsible for the sourcing, acquisition, and administration of very complex, high dollar equipment as a member of BIW's Supply Chain organization. This position is built for highly motivated individuals who have the proven ability to rapidly and accurately perform subcontracts management tasks for a wide variety of contract types. Operating under the BIW Business Operating System (BOS), the Subcontracts Specialist ensures compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Safety Leadership :

Actively participate in safety initiatives and lead by example.

Negotiate agreement price and terms to reduce total costs and liability exposure consistent with company policies.

Be a continuous and active learner.

Assist and participate in cross departmental communications and information sharing to support organizational alignment.

Monitor and assess supplier performance and initiates corrective action when supplier performance does not meet contractual obligations or company expectations.

Supply Chain Specialist II

2-4 years of direct work experience in Procurement / Supply Chain / Strategic Sourcing / Subcontract Management / Project Management or related field.

Works independently with little supervision.

B / S or B / A Degree preferably in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain, or a related degree and comparable work experience.
