What will you do as a Jewelry Buyer at Diamond Cellar?
The Entry-Level Jewelry Buyer plays a key role within the merchandising team, supporting the overall buying and product strategy for assigned luxury brands. This position is responsible for analyzing sales performance, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the right product assortment is maintained to meet business goals. The ideal candidate combines analytical skills with a passion for fine jewelry and luxury fashion.
Responsibilities
- Run and analyze weekly and monthly sales and inventory reports for assigned brands.
- Monitor sell-through, margin, and replenishment trends to inform buying decisions.
- Assist in merchandise planning, assortment selection, and reorders.
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with assigned brand partners and vendors.
- Participate in seasonal line reviews, trunk shows, and buying appointments.
- Collaborate closely with the merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment on brand strategy and product presentation.
- Support merchandising team in preparing data and visuals for executive reviews and strategy meetings.
- Attend trade shows, vendor meetings, and off-site events as needed (4–5 times per year).
What are we looking for in an Entry Level Jewelry Buyer?
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field; or equivalent experience in luxury retail buying.1–2 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or a related area (preferably in luxury goods, jewelry, or fashion).Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and business reporting tools.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Passion for fine jewelry, craftsmanship, and luxury brand standards.Willingness to travel out of state for vendor meetings or events (approximately 4–5 times per year).Why would you love working for Diamond Cellar?
