Regional Sales Representative (Remote)

Must reside within a reasonable driving distance of Chicago

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Regional Sales Representative from the paperboard, folding carton, or packaging industry to develop new business and leverage long-term strategic relationships to uncover sales opportunities and profits within the accounts you service in the Midwestern US, to increase sales penetration and profits and services we offer at Graph-Pak Corporation to build strong collaborative relationships.

Responsibilities :

  • Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, attending trade shows and conferences, and other sources.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with current and potential clients.
  • Quotes prices and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Interact with internal departments to get accurate and timely cost estimates and delivery schedules.
  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs and explain how specific products and services can meet these needs.
  • Display or demonstrate products, use samples or presentations, and emphasize salable features.
  • Maintains detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.

Required Skills, Abilities, Experience, and Education :

  • A minimum of four years of sales experience in the paperboard, folding carton, or packaging industry with a successful record of accomplishment of documented gross trade margin increases.
  • A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A sense of urgency with a hunter mentality.
  • Self-motivated and takes calculated risks to overcome challenging obstacles to accomplish goals
  • Manages challenging customer situations and responds promptly to customer questions and needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service;

responds to requests; meets commitments.

Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills;

participates in meetings.

  • Exceptional presentation skills; writes clearly and effectively; presents numerical data and interprets data and written information.
  • Treats others with respect, presents a professional appearance, always provides a positive company image, and follows through on commitments.
