LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Gastroenterology MD in Virginia!

About The Position

🩺 Position Overview :

📅 Date : November 27th (7a–7a)

🏥 Setting : Hospital Call – Weekend Coverage (Saturday & Sunday)

👩‍⚕️ Patient Population : Adults only

💻 EMR : Epic

You’ll join a collaborative hospital team with lab and imaging onsite , supporting both inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine services.

🔬 Procedures You’ll Perform :

Upper & Lower GI Endoscopy – Diagnostic & Therapeutic

Colonoscopy & Sigmoidoscopy

Liver and Small Bowel Biopsies

Esophageal Manometry & Dilatation

ERCP & EUS

PEG Placement, Variceal Banding, and Foreign Body Removal

Management of Sengstaken / Blakemore Tube

💡 Average of 8 procedures per weekend — mix of GSI, Hepatology, RGA, Surgery, Colon, EGD, and ERCP cases.

📋 Requirements :

✅ Board Certified in Gastroenterology

✅ Active Virginia Medical License

✅ Flu Shot – Required

✅ COVID Vaccine – Highly Preferred

✅ Clean Malpractice History – Required for Temp Privileges

✅ Must be available for the open shift
