Our client is a Rochester, Minnesota based company that has openings for Agricultural Sales Representatives in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio who will market MagrowTec™ spray assist technology to farm producers and custom spray application businesses.

The Agricultural Sales Representative is an independent (1099) contractor who sells this technology on a commission basis , maintains customer contacts and records, conducts new equipment field demonstrations in their territory, communicates well with customers and company management, maintains knowledge of financing for the purchase of these spray assist units, and attends applicable sales training events, seminars, and meetings with the company.

What is MagrowTec™?

MagrowTec™ is a magnetic assist technology containing rare earth magnets that mounts on the sprayer. When the tank mix flows through the manifold, the fluid properties are enhanced to create more optimum size droplets resulting in better coverage with less drift.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing relationships and introducing new technology
  • Growing sales by prospecting within defined territory
  • Creating customer specific proposals
  • Gaining and maintaining expertise on industry trends and best practices
  • Maintaining sales management information for all customers in their assigned territory
  • Conducting new equipment field demonstrations in their assigned territory
  • Develop and maintain a basic working knowledge of agricultural spray practices and related issues for crop weed and pest control
  • Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of MagrowTec™ technology
  • Attends applicable sales training events / seminars as set forth by the company

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 years prior sales experience
  • Hands-on farm experience
  • Knowledge of agricultural equipment and current sprayer technology
  • Experience developing and winning new business in a highly competitive environment
  • Self-driven to actively prospect, cultivate, and close new business opportunities using effective questioning skills to tailor solution benefits to meet prospect needs
  • Exceptional communication and sales presentation skills
  • Timely and respectful communication
  • Relates well to all kinds of people and easily builds trusting relationships
  • Unwavering integrity and strong work ethic
  • Willingness to travel across the assigned sales territory to grow business relationships
  • Proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
  • Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
