Job descriptionOversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting for Ocean Investors Group’s restaurants and distribution companies. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for individual entities and consolidated reporting. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. Collaborate with operations teams to track key performance metrics, such as food costs, labor efficiency, and logistics profitability. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization and growth. Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. Strengthen internal controls and streamline financial processes. Oversee payroll and provide financial guidance to operational managers. Lead a small team of financial staff, providing mentorship and direction. Proven experience as a Controller or senior accountant, ideally in the restaurant or distribution industries. Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Restaurant365, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel. Solid understanding of GAAP and multi-entity financial reporting. Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and cost optimization. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and communication abilities. CPA or CMA certification is a plus. Flexible work-from-home options, with occasional travel to restaurant and distribution locations. Competitive salary based on experience.
