Shipping Clerk
Warehouse Shipping Clerk Temp to Hire opportunity with a company that comes with more than five decades of experience and global footprint.
Distribution center for Facebook, Logitech, and Microsoft (the 3 major brands) electronics located in Ontario, CA. Merchandise varies in size and weight- small computer accessories, monitors and TV screens.
Regular Schedule : 1st shift 5 : 30am 2 : 00pm Monday Friday (depending on volume OT)
1st and 2nd week of training schedule will be 6 : 00am 2 : 30pm
Pay Rate : $20.50
Overall Responsibilities :
This is only a summary of the responsibilities based on position. However, due to business employees must be flexible with shifts / starting time and understand that they will be rotating and work different areas based on business need.
- Responsible for coordinating and scheduling Domestic and International Inbound loads.
- Coordinates Yard Management workflow for all container and trailer logs.
- Open communication with all parties via phone calls and email for receiving office.
- Manage office supplies and department needs.
- Track inbound shipments and report discrepancies to service delivery team.
- Ensure proof of deliveries are properly filed and available for all shipments.
- Act as liaison for client, 3rd party vendors, and carriers.
- Build Receiver envelopes by container and trailer numbers to track inbound deliveries.
- Drive the receiving flow by priorities, and service level agreements.
- Organize and file all inbound documentation.
- Updating and notifying issues or concerns on inbound deliveries.
- Follow bill of lading procedures for all inbound documentation.
- Troubleshooting, overages, shortages and damages.
Job Requirements :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.Spread sheet and data entry.6 months+ previous warehouse experience, Inbound Preferred and SAP knowledge.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and walk up to 5 miles per day.Previous customer service experience preferred.Detailed clerical knowledge and communications.Able to multi task duties and responsibilities.Must be able to work outside normal work hours to accommodate customer business demand when needed.Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)Ability to lift / transport boxes that may weigh up to 35 pounds.Ability to stand for extended periods.Ability to work from Monday through Friday, with 1st Saturday (Rotational)
