Job Title : Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician (PM&R)
Location : Westerly, East Greenwich and East Providence, Rhode Island
University Orthopedics is currently seeking a PM&R Physician with fellowship training in Pain or Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine.

Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients with musculoskeletal and other physical impairments.
- Diagnose and provide non-operative treatment of traumatic, degenerative and sports-related injuries to the axial and appendicular musculoskeletal system, primarily spinal conditions like degenerative disc disease / spondylosis, spinal canal stenosis, radiculopathy, facet joint arthropathy and sacroiliac joint arthropathy.
- Provide a variety of interventional treatment options, including epidural steroid injections, procedures to the axial and appendicular joints including radiofrequency ablation, ultrasound guided procedures and peripheral nerve blocks.
- Perform and interpret EMG’s.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing symptoms.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop systems of care and provide comprehensive management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Qualifications :
- Medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of a residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in PM&R.
- Fellowship training in Pain or Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine
- State medical license.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
