The Contract Recruiter will play a critical role in executing McGough's recruitment strategies and hiring processes, with a dedicated focus on supporting data center talent needs. This position will collaborate closely with hiring managers, project leaders, and the broader Talent Acquisition team to ensure we are attracting and hiring top-tier talent for our growing data center portfolio. Strong relationship-building, sourcing expertise, and organizational skills will be key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities Include :
- Drive overall talent acquisition success with an emphasis on data center roles
- Coordinate and manage a consistent, efficient hiring process for data center projects
- Partner closely with the Director of Talent Acquisition, TA team, and Hiring Managers to develop and implement workforce pipeline strategies, specifically aligned to data center staffing
- Ensure a positive candidate experience and satisfaction throughout the process
- Build and nurture relationships with prospective talent, internal stakeholders, external networks, post-secondary institutions, and search firm partners - with special attention to talent pipelines in the data center space
Qualifications : Required :
1-3 years of related experience with an emphasis in technical recruiting or sourcingStrong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft 365 applicationsExperience with HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems, LI Recruiter, job boards and social media platformsProven interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to apply critical thinking skills and problem solveKnowledge of creative and innovative sourcing techniquesCapacity to coordinate multiple tasks and recruit for multiple positions to meet deadlinesTalent to establish rapport and effectively advise all levels within the organizationAbility to work with confidential data and maintain privacyAbility to professionally voice concerns and effectively deal with conflictPositive can do attitude and continual learnerPreferred :
Experience with full life cycle recruiting processExperience hiring in the construction industryNetwork connections in the construction industry, unions and community organizations within the nationOffice : 40 hours / week; hybrid or remote work flexibility. Travel : Occasional overnight travel to headquarters, regional offices, and recruiting events may be involved.
Contract duration : 3-6 month duration. Open to future discussion, with the possibility of extension depending on upcoming workload and business needs.

Talent Pool Communications, Branding and Employment :
Collaborates with the TA and Marketing teams to proactively communicate culture, values and job opportunities using a variety of social media platforms, in-house platforms, job boards, etc.Candidate Management :
Assists in screening resumes and applications to help identify qualified candidates.Conducts initial phone screens and makes recommendations to the hiring manager.Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment records and documentation in the applicant tracking system and TA shared files.Proactively address candidate inquiries and concerns.Ensure a positive and professional experience for all candidates by maintaining timely and clear communication throughout the process.Interview and Offer Coordination :
Schedule and coordinate interview with hiring managers and candidates, ensuring a seamless process.When needed assist in coordinating candidate's travel, lodging, etc. for interviews and first day.Prepare and distribute interview agendas and materials.Communicate with candidates to confirm interview details and answer questions.Assist with preparing offer letters and additional forms.Physical Requirements :

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $30.00 / hour to $55.00 / hour, excluding fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you join McGough, your final base salary will be determined by several factors, including geography, location, skills, education, and experience. Furthermore, we place significant value on pay equity among our current team members as part of any final job offer. Please note that the range provided above reflects the hiring range for this role. Hiring near the top end of this range would be atypical, as we aim to allow room for future salary growth.
