THE POSITION
Fulton County is looking for Caseworker applicants who are interested in entry-level job opportunities to make a difference in the lives of children and families. These workers have the support of direct supervision and training opportunities provided through the Child Welfare Resource Center. Employees have the ability to earn longevity incentives as well as the chance to participate in tuition reimbursement program opportunities through the County for ongoing education.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This is an entry level caseworker position that allows for growth in the field of social work with children and families. Workers are responsible for the receipt of reports of child abuse and neglect, and investigation of the same. Workers provide in-home case management services for those children and families accepted for services with the supervision and guidance of the Casework Supervisor. Workers participate in Court functions to include placement services and adoption of children. Workers are provided with extensive training through the PA Child Welfare Resource Center, and in-house training is provided regarding the rules and regulations that govern the agency.
Caseworkers are responsible for timely data entry into the case management system and case files, and are required to participate in a mandatory on-call rotation with support and supervision provided by agency.

Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
