Key job responsibilities

The Telco Backhaul Principal Product Manager - Technical, will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing customer-oriented services for Kuiper satellite communication services, globally.

The successful candidate will have deep understanding of satellite broadband and telecommunication services for Telco / Backhaul verticals, and their differences across the globe.

In this role, you will define and be responsible for success of our services portfolio for Telco / Backhaul offerings. You will work directly with customers, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders to define Kuiper service offerings via expertly crafted working backwards, business requirements documents which can easily be translated into product and engineering deliverables.

You will work in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and must be comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams.

The candidate must have clear business judgment, dive deep into data, have core writing skills and be comfortable leading executive-level reviews.

Candidates must be able to analyze and implement subscription lifecycle models with appropriate KPIs for different customer segments.

Candidates will have deep understanding of customer needs for modern telecommunication services. Candidates with demonstrated business and operational experience within high scale fixed, wireless and satellite telecommunications services targeting Telco / Backhaul verticals will be preferred.

A day in the life

  • Define the service offerings, pricing, SLAs, and customer experience for Telco Backhaul services at a global level, to meet requirements of multiple customer verticals
  • Interpret spectrum resource costs and productize into a digestible services for B2B companies, with aligned services portfolio strategy
  • Create detailed product requirements documents based on an intimate knowledge of the specific customer verticals including use case prioritization, feature definition and product roadmap
  • Set the customer product strategy and make appropriate high-judgment trade-offs between features and speed-to-launch
  • Manage overall the product life cycle and work with key internal and external stakeholders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning / driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
