What To Expect

Tesla is seeking a Senior Counsel to join the Commercial Legal Team, primarily supporting supply chain operations in the procurement of goods and services. This role will also involve assisting with transactions for other business units, including the sale of energy storage and charging products, as well as the expansion of the Supercharger network. Based in one of Tesla’s offices in Austin, Texas, or the Bay Area of California, this position offers a unique opportunity for a seasoned commercial lawyer to contribute to accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What You'll Do

• Manage a high volume and wide range of commercial contracts, including supply agreements, IP licensing agreements, development agreements, services agreements, and confidentiality agreements
• Provide advice on a variety of strategic, regulatory, and transactional matters for the supply chain team and other business units
• Facilitate resolution of legal disputes by drafting and responding to breach of contract claims
• Prepare and maintain contract forms to support Tesla’s businesses and operational areas
• Collaborate with colleagues worldwide to ensure consistency in contracts and risk allocation across Tesla’s various businesses

Expected Compensation

$172,000 - $318,000 / annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
