Underwriting Assistant

A company is looking for an Underwriting Assistant to support Commercial Lines Production and Staff Underwriters.

Key Responsibilities

Select, price, and develop coverage terms for commercial lines accounts

Review new business applications to evaluate risk and ensure completeness

Assist with processing new business, renewals, and policy changes while maintaining relationships with agents

Required Qualifications

Preferred Bachelor's Degree with a background in insurance or equivalent experience

One (1) to Three (3) years of commercial experience at a company or agency level preferred

Commercial Technical Assistant's with a minimum of 2 years' experience will also be considered

Demonstration of self-development through attainment of professional insurance designations (e.g., CLCS, AU, CPCU, ARM)
