Lake Superior Consulting is currently seeking to fill a key position as an Electrical Engineer IV at our home office in Duluth, MN, or one of our offices in Omaha, NE, Houston, TX, or Pittsburgh, PA.

This position is responsible for executing the electrical engineering portion of multi-disciplinary projects in the industrial energy sector. Duties include coordinating with multi-discipline design teams and managing workflow through all stages of design including drawing development and construction document phases to complete the projects on schedule. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the successful delivery of each project through management of internal staff, external contractors, financial control, and management of change.

Responsibilities :

• Lead moderate to large sized projects and make decisions and recommendations on technical or complex issues
• Exercise considerable judgment and initiative in interpreting policy in the planning and implementation of major work assignments
• Work with the project team to create all design documents and drawings, including Power and Controls drawings and associated documentation.
• Specification development for the procurement, installation and testing of electrical equipment.
• Significant design and design review responsibilities, engineering calculations, studies, detailed design, report writing, field investigations and direction of lower level engineers and / or designers
• Apply engineering application software to complete engineering tasks such as site modeling and analysis
• Communicate and coordinate project activities with project management, customer representatives, and other stakeholders.
• Manages changes in project scope, identifies potential risks, and works with supervisors to develop contingency plans.
• Frequently interact with clients, vendors and contractors

Lake Superior Consulting offers a competitive compensation package. The actual starting salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including your skills, experience, and office / market location. The anticipated salary / hourly range for this position is $95,000-$132,800 per year.
