Overview
Under the direction of the Director of IT, this position is primarily responsible for ensuring optimal infrastructure operations and security. This position will serve as the organization's HIPAA security officer and is duly accountable for all aspects of the role. Those responsibilities include, and not limited to, overseeing annual security risk assessment; review & update business continuity plan, disaster recovery plan, and cybersecurity policies and procedures annually, and as needed; manage security awareness training; investigate security violations; maintain logs of security enhancements, concerns, features, and incidents. Additionally, the position will be accountable to day-to-day operations of network infrastructure and servers, ensuring all network devices are appropriately patched / updated, and maintaining up to date network documentation.

Training And Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline required. At least ten years of experience in networking and security management. A network or security certification required, CISM or CISSP highly desired. Experience in healthcare setting highly desired. Previous experience with HIPAA security risk assessment highly desired. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge Of
Project management skills with ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, lead staff, and manage changing deliverable and priorities. Understanding of current trends and processes in cybersecurity and network technology.
Ability To
Articulate and convey complex problems into easily understood terms. To be flexible and work diligently, both independent and in a collaborative team environment with changing priorities.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
This is primarily an office position that requires only occasional bending, reaching, stooping, lifting and moving of office equipment weighing 25 pounds or less. The position requires daily use of a computer.
Special Requirements
Must possess a valid California driver's license; proof of auto liability insurance; and have the use of a personal vehicle for work related purposes. COVID-19 and Booster or Medical / Religious Exemption required.
