HIM Specialist with Certification

A company is looking for a HIM Specialist - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert for the patient portal, including developing and running reports for quality and auditing purposes

Audit release of information and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines

Assist in the development of policies and procedures while acting as a resource for staff in problem resolution

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or G.E.D required; Associate's Degree preferred

Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, COC, CRCR, or equivalent

3 or more years of experience with Release of Information and HIM preferred

3 years of experience in Cerner Suite EHR Patient Portal experience

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
