Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist for a top Healthcare client.
This highly specialized role assists physicians in the Cath / EP Lab with diagnosing and treating complex cardiac arrhythmias and peripheral vascular disease. The Technologist specializes in the procedural care of patients undergoing PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement, and EP device implants / ablations, requiring advanced knowledge of corresponding devices and protocols.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist physicians directly in the Cardiac Catheterization (Cath) and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Specialize in the care of patients undergoing procedures such as PTCA, stent placement, and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) placement.
- Manage and assist with specialized EP procedures, including device implantation and ablations, utilizing expert knowledge of required equipment.
- Prepare the patient and procedure room, ensuring all equipment is operational and sterile protocols are strictly followed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and procedural parameters, communicating critical changes to the physician and care team immediately.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all procedural details, equipment settings, and patient responses.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient throughput and excellent procedural outcomes.
Requirements
Education
Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited program is required.Experience
Minimum of two (2) years of Electrophysiology (EP) experience is required.Knowledge of EP and ablation devices is mandatory.Acute care experience is not strictly required but is strongly preferred.Certifications / Licenses
