Quality Assurance Specialist
The Quality Assurance Specialist at the Central Federal Lands Highway Division (CFLHD) is responsible for implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of the CFLHD Project Delivery Quality Assurance (PDQA) Plan for the delivery of roadway construction projects and engineering services. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will :
The ideal candidate is a seasoned mid-career professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. They will have practical experience in performing quality assurance and quality control activities on roadway projects. Experience in highway design projects from preliminary design stages through construction is essential. The ideal candidate is passionate about Federal Land's mission and is keenly interested in the success of the organization.
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements. To qualify for the GS-13, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12, it must include : experience participating in or implementing project development quality assurance programs in order to meet operational and program objectives; experience conducting quality assurance and quality control practices and leading process improvement activities; and experience with developing and evaluating roadway construction plans, specifications, and engineer's estimates (PS&Es) for conformance with established standards and experience assessing biddability / constructability of those documents. You cannot qualify based on education at this grade level.
