Overview
The Bradley hotel, located in the heart of downtown Fort Wayne is seeking an overnight house person.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The House Person's primary responsibility is to clean the Hotel and restaurant outlets. The House Person supports the Housekeeping Department. They deliver requested guest and associate items to rooms including toiletries, extra beds, pillows, etc. They also specialize in some of the deep cleaning duties including shampooing and spotting carpet and fabric. They maintain the cleanliness of all assigned areas within the hotel to include but not limited to corridors, service areas, restaurant outlets and elevator landings according to standards set by the Hotel. Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information; protects and follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; reports any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries. Provides customers with quality service in a timely and friendly manner. The overnight House Person will also be responsible for the valet of guest vehicles as needed. A valid Driver License is a requirement for this role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Get assignments, keys, radios, and special guest requests from supervisor at the beginning of your shift.
- Cleans and maintains the cleanliness and appearance of specified hotel areas to include guest room corridors, service areas, restaurant outlets, rest rooms and other assigned areas.
- Cleans and maintains supplies, tools, equipment, and instruments, and storage areas to ensure compliance to safety regulations. Report needed repairs of equipment or any maintenance deficiency to maintenance or housekeeping supervisor.
- Deep cleaning of assigned areas of the hotel including the shampooing of rooms and corridors, glass panels, hotel light fixtures, and guest / service elevators (including elevator tracks).
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, helpful, courteous and service-oriented manner.
- Attend to guest requests, inquiries and complaints and refers unresolved issues to supervisor or Manager on Duty in a timely manner.
- Check and replenish required supplies and cleaning tools.
- Regular attendance in conformance with Hotel standards is essential to the successful performance of this position.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Perform work duties in accordance with Company safety and security policies and procedures, as well as in accordance with posted OSHA, HazCom, and Blood Borne Pathogen regulations and other applicable state and local and federal regulations.Report out-of-the-ordinary issues and unsafe conditions immediately.Ensure that services are coordinated to provide the best in guest satisfaction by maintaining contact via telephone with the other departments such as Front Desk, Housekeeping, Bell and Valet.Attend mandatory meetings.Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.Qualifications
