Advanced Practice Provider : Women's Health

Position Highlights :

UW Health Northern Illinois seeks an Advance Practice Provider(APRN with first assist or PA-C)to join our busy team of 10 Ob / Gyns and four WHNPs atUW Health SwedishAmerican's state of the art Women & Children's Hospital, Spring Brook Clinic location.

With a $130 million expansion of women and children's services, UW Health Northern Illinois' growing portfolio of obstetric, gynecologic and pediatric services will ensure a busy community-based practice with dedicated support from sub-specialists of University Of Wisconsin School Of Medicine and Public Health.

Job Duties :

Clinical Care & Patient Management

• Conducting comprehensive health assessments, including medical history and physical exams.
• Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions related to women's health.
• Providing gynecologic care, including pap smears, breast exams, and contraception counseling.
• Managing menstrual disorders, menopause, and hormonal therapy.
• Performing colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, and IUD / Nexplanon insertions / removals (depending on credentials).
• Prescribing medications, including contraceptives, hormone therapy, and antibiotics.

Qualifications :

Master's degree from accredited PA program or completion of a master's level advanced practice nurse program.
