General Summary
Provide mechanical systems BIM HVAC / PIPING / Fire protection or Electrical Systems design for a new construction and / or renovation of industrial facilities as requested by the client. The BIM Designer will develop construction drawings and specifications, which address the installation, integration, interconnection and control of components within the standard building codes
Job Description
Review and / or establish project scope, necessary constraints and design approach with Project Manager, Engineering Team, and ClientsWith assistance, perform calculations and energy models; formulate design and layout of mechanical systems including HVAC, Piping, Plumbing, and fire protection or Electrical SystemsCreate engineering documents using computer aided design (CAD) technology, utilizing Autodesk (Revit and AutoCAD) or manually with support from more junior staffConduct field measurements and checks at the construction siteMaintain working knowledge of the latest building codes and standards used in the industryMaintain organized project files containing project calculations, drawings, and engineering dataWith assistance, select and source equipmentCoordinate projects with other disciplinesQualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, highly desired5+ years of related experience in BIM Systems in the mechanical or Electrical engineering field (HVAC / building systems / Electrical)Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD, Trane Trace 700 or other building energy calculation software, and BluebeamKnowledge in BIM 360Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work on-site at Various Clients' Facilities, Multiple locations are available in MI (Sterling Heights, MI or Dearborn, MI) or Other StatesMust be able to travel when requiredLong-term assignments, OT is availablePer Dime is available for qualified CandidatesFlexible work from home options available.
