SIGN ON BONUS $1,000
Responsible for greeting patients and visitors, answering phone calls, collecting patient information. Coordinating and scheduling provider and infusion appointments for the Oncology department.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains confidentiality of reported and recorded information related to department workflow.
Utilizes computer system proficiently.
Receives communication and notifies key personnel.
Coordinates and schedules oncology appointments for patients receiving chemotherapy and other treatments.
Schedules patient appointments and follow up.
Phone coverage
Follows prior authorization procedures as necessary.
Stays abreast of ongoing changes related to EPIC and scheduling software.
Adheres to infection control and safety guidelines.
Remains updated as to policy / procedural changes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Greets patient and visitors.
Schedules Oncology Infusion patients teaching sessions, treatment and follow ups.
Communicates with Oncology Practice and team members to ensure patients are scheduled accurately and timely.
Maintains an organize work environment.
Functions as infusion area receptionist.
Facilitates patient flow in collaboration with the Resource Nurse.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Formal education (e.g. High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree, graduate of an accredited program)
High School Diploma or GED required
Licensure / certification
Include due date if licensure / certification is required after hire.
Experience
Number of years and type of directly related work experience (e.g. 2-4 years of accounting experience)
Prior customer service experience
Prior experience in healthcare environment.
Knowledge
Commonly known principles to execute the duties of this job.
Skills
Measurable learnings (e.g. Intermediate level of Excel and Word)
Excellent communication, customer service and basic computer skills.
Prior experience with EPIC.
Abilities
Demonstrated learnings(e.g. Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments)
Ability to plan, prioritize and complete delegated tasks in an efficient manner. Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others.
