Our client, a Professional Services Company, is seeking a remote Associate Director of Telecom to join their growing team.
The Telecom Associate Director is responsible for overseeing the operations and strategy of the Telecommunications department within the organization to ensure efficient and effective telecommunications services are met.
This role involves managing a team, developing strategies, implementing projects, and ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
Job Requirements :
- Lead and manage a team of telecom professionals, including telecom engineers, technicians, and support staff.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop the telecommunications strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Identify emerging technologies and trends in the telecommunications industry and recommend strategies for adoption.
- Develop plans for the implementation of new technologies and services.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the telecommunications department.
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of telecommunications systems and services.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts for telecommunications services.
- Lead telecom-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
- Coordinate with other departments to gather requirements, define project scope, and establish timelines.
- Manage resources, including budget allocation, to support project execution.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to telecommunications.
- Implement security measures to protect telecommunications systems and data.
- Assess risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Stay updated on advances in telecommunications technology and industry best practices.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team and other departments.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solutions
- Collaborate with other departments, such as IT, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and integration of telecommunications services.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on projects, initiatives, and issues.
- Supervises employees who generally perform the same work or similar work / task. May occasionally do the work of those supervised.
Has HR responsibilities for direct reports.

Qualifications :
- Strong communications skills
- Ability to interact with C level management.
- Ability to mentor, guide, and direct contact center technical staff
- Ability to provide clear and concise feedback to all levels of the organization.
- Bachelors degree from a Four (4) year College or University; or 10+ years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
