Sand Pit Operator

Location : Poland, Maine

About the Role : Aceto Earthworks is seeking a motivated, hands-on individual to manage and run the daily operations of a small sand pit. This is a great opportunity for someone with equipment experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining production, safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee all aspects of pit operations, including material extraction, screening, and loading.
• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, and dump trucks.
• Manage inventory of sand and related materials.
• Maintain site organization, cleanliness, and compliance with DEP and safety regulations.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Coordinate with trucking operations and customers for deliveries and pickups.
• Track production and report quantities to management.
