This role is designed for an experienced network virtualization professional who thrives in complex and mission-critical environments. You will work on advanced VMware-based infrastructures, supporting network build-outs, deployments, and cybersecurity compliance for high-profile government projects. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure system stability and optimization. Ideal candidates are proactive problem-solvers with strong communication skills, able to manage projects independently while mentoring team members. This role requires technical excellence, hands-on experience with virtualization, and adherence to rigorous security standards. Candidates must reside in a HUBZone or be willing to relocate prior to the start date.

Accountabilities :

• Support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the IRES contract, deploying and managing VMware environments at the C2BMC Test Facility.
• Perform complex system administration tasks with minimal supervision, including monitoring, backups, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring or critical network issues and recommend solutions.
• Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and cybersecurity personnel to maintain a high-quality test environment.
• Document system changes and actions in appropriate systems of record for compliance and historical tracking.
• Advise stakeholders on system optimization and improvement efforts in line with program objectives.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain virtual machines and virtual distributed switches, including patching, upgrades, and migrations.
