ModCorr is seeking a Purchasing and Administrative Assistant. The Purchasing and AdministrativeAssistant will provide essential support to the project and purchasing teams to ensure accurate and timely management of administrative and procurement functions. This entry-level position plays a key role in assisting with the coordination, documentation, and communication necessary to support purchasing activities and overall office operations. The role involves working closely with project managers, estimators, and vendors to track materials, maintain organized records, and facilitate the smooth flow of information across departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist with issuing purchase orders and tracking materials for multiple projects
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, confirm pricing, and follow up on deliveries
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and update order status in company systems
- Support project managers and estimators with pricing, lead times, and material availability
- Assist with preparing and organizing documents, reports, and correspondence
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for purchasing and administrative records
- Coordinate delivery schedules and ensure timely receipt of materials
- Provide general administrative support to the office team
- Assist with other miscellaneous projects and tasks as assigned
Knowledge and Skills Required :
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenProficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environmentDependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.Preferred Skills :
Experience in purchasing, procurement, or office administrationKnowledge of construction materials or manufacturing processesPhysical Demands :
