CNC Operator - 1st Shift
Join a renowned full-service production CNC machine shop established in 1946, specializing in crafting metal parts for diverse industries including agriculture, construction, and mining. Operate advanced CNC machinery to produce precision parts for global clients, ensuring high quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC machines and machining centers to produce a variety of small to large parts with minimal scrap and efficient labor hours.
Review drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.
Plan and execute the proper sequence of tasks to complete assignments.
Inspect parts using various gauges, quality plans, and SPC chart tracking to ensure quality assurance.
Document completed labor and quality checks, reporting any errors and defects.
Identify machine / tool maintenance needs and perform minor repairs.
Learn and perform machine set-up, organizing necessary equipment to ensure efficient setups.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Essential Skills
Experience operating CNC machinery, specifically Mazak and Doosan models.
Proficiency with lathe and mill operations.
Skilled in using calipers and micrometers.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with machining and setups.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.

Work Environment
Work the 1st shift from 6 : 00 a.m. to 2 : 00 p.m., with optional overtime available. The shop, while busy and slightly dirty, is well-lit and organized, offering a dynamic and engaging work environment. Work orders are set through 2025, ensuring job stability and consistent workload.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oconomowoc, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
