Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

The Senior Financial Analyst, NBC News will have operational finance responsibilities, focusing primarily on production cost management. Key responsibilities include pacing & monthly close, management reporting, and operational support for various production teams. This role reports into the Sr. Manager Finance, NBC News. Responsibilities Include :

• Support the preparation, analysis and reporting of operational expenses, including compensation and benefits, and variable production costs, for monthly pacing, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and strategic initiatives.
• Assist with monthly close process by preparing journal entries, variance analysis, and account reconciliations.
• Lead regular cost tracking for production teams including maintenance of standard reporting packages, dashboards and other ad-hoc analysis.
• Support management reporting across income, cash flow and balance sheet statements.
• Manage headcount reporting in partnership with Human Resources.
• Help to identify risks and opportunities.
• Partner with operators to support day to day business needs, and serve as the primary finance contact for any corporate card and accounts payable issues.
• Communicate results and metrics in a timely manner.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

2+ years of relevant experience.

Solid understanding of GAAP and financial statements.

Excellent computer and analytical skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.

Proficient use of SAP / Business Warehouse / BPC or similar accounting software.

Desired Characteristics :

Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the New York, NY office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary Range : $80,000 -$95,000
