Job Summary
The Office of Alumni Relations and Development at the David Eccles School of Business is looking for a creative, organized and driven event manager to help us maintain our reputation for impactful events. The event manager will primarily be responsible for creating fundraising, networking, volunteering, educational and social events to drive engagement with the Eccles School and build relationships amongst alumni, donors, students, staff, faculty, and community members. The position will manage events of all sizes from concept through completion. The ideal candidate is comfortable planning multiple events at the same time, while staying organized, detailed, and keeping the mission, audience, and purpose of each event at the forefront of planning. This role requires the ability to execute in all areas of events, meetings, and conferences including, but not limited to budgeting, venue scouting, contract review, vendor booking, logistics, room setup, staffing, managing marketing deadlines, content creation, event promotion, run of shows, tech rehearsals, constituent communications, and post-event evaluation. This person must have excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to manage partners, sponsors, staff, and volunteers to effectively execute events. The office typically hosts 60+ annual events and campaigns, including networking socials, board meetings, Eccles School graduation, virtual events, panel discussions, keynote speaker series, a fundraising golf tournament, educational summits, and an annual hall of fame luncheon.

Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example : bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience). Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
