Compliance And Training Manager
NorthPoint Health and Wellness Center is seeking a Compliance and Training Manager to join their team. This position is responsible for the coordination of multiple NorthPoint programs, including the development of program goals and objectives, policy development, and staff supervision. This Manager will partner with NorthPoint leaders to improve organizational compliance, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure staff educational needs are met in accordance with internal plans, regulatory agency requirements, state laws / rules, county and NorthPoint policies, and professional organization recommendations from the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management and / or the Health Care Compliance Association. This role requires expertise in healthcare compliance, risk, and adult learning principles.

Location and hours :
This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at NorthPoint Health and Wellness Center at 2220 Plymouth Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55411, and remote as job duties require. This position may involve traveling to satellite clinics and school-based clinic sites in North Minneapolis. Work hours will primarily be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 : 30 p.m. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin. New Employee Orientation (NEO) for all new benefit-earning employees is in-person in downtown Minneapolis. Details about NEO will be provided upon hire.

In this position, you will :
- Assess and prioritize potential and identified compliance threats, vulnerabilities, and risks, in conjunction with the organization's executive management team, managers and supervisors, and other designated staff.
- Direct the implementation and evaluation of internal controls that are designed to manage identified compliance risks, including but not limited to the compliance management activities identified in the position description.
- Direct the review, revision, and formulation of written standards, including policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines, which are designed to address compliance risks while maintaining effective management and administrative processes. Manage and maintain the NorthPoint Health and Wellness Center Master Policy Manual.
- Direct organization-wide monitoring and assign accountability of activities to assess the effectiveness of the internal controls.
- Direct the delivery, completion, and effectiveness of necessary training and other educational activities that are designed to inform all staff members of the requirements of the written standards.
- Assist the executive management team in establishing a culture of compliance and ethics, including the adoption of an organization-wide code of conduct and clear communication of expectations to all staff.
- Oversee regular external auditing activities designed to provide an independent review of the organization's internal controls and compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Implement reporting mechanisms which allow all employees to report potential compliance issues, including, when practical, anonymous hotlines or similar measures.
- Ensure organizational compliance aligns with and meets Federal HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) requirements. This includes leading the organization through its Federal Operational Site Visit (OSV).
- Investigate and track all reported and known incidents related to identified compliance risks including; working with executive management team and legal counsel in resolving the matter.
- Establish and manage a governance structure to ensure that compliance accountability resides with managers and supervisors, including an organization-wide compliance committee.
- Provide leadership to further department-based strategies that align with county goals, mission, and core values for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Need to have :
One of the following :Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, or other field appropriate to the position and five years or more of experience in the planning and administration of organizational operations or programs.Nine or more years of experience in the planning and administration of organizational operations or programs.Nice to have :
Experience :Drafting, reviewing, and implementing organizational policies and procedures.Supervising staff through direct oversight or indirect coordination.With HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) compliance in community healthcare.Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, managers, community partners, and the public.Overseeing performance measurements and coordinating strategic planning activities.Supporting racial equity or disparity reduction work from a public health perspective.With racial equity, gender equity, LGBTQIA+ equity, and / or people with varying abilities to achieve health and racial equity.Knowledge of :Administrative principles and practices relating to the management of departmental operations.Organizational change, development, planning, implementation, and program evaluation / performance management.Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.Ability to :Promote racial equity and address disparities within programs and services.Establish clinic operational goals, objectives, and standards.Communicate effectively with all levels of management.About the department :
