Position Summary : Join our team as a Mid-Level Certification Engineer, where you will play a critical role in executing both large and small-scale certification programs. Collaborate effectively with internal teams, installers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies such as the FAA and EASA to ensure compliance and project success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Collaborate as part of the certification team with FAA / EASA designees to develop certification basis and plans.
- Act as a liaison between airlines, FAA / EASA, and suppliers to facilitate timely project completion.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate certification records.
- Oversee vendor testing and ensure adherence to schedules for final certification.
- Create tools as needed to track deliverables, testing, and compliance findings, ensuring on-time project completion.
- Mitigate risks by conducting Risk Management reviews, addressing issues in real-time, and assessing impact.
- Interface with regulatory agencies (FAA / EASA / Other) to coordinate and secure approvals.
- Develop and execute independent certification programs with minimal oversight.
- Adhere to internal company processes.
Requirements :
Education / Experience :
A Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or a related engineering field is required, along with a minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 2 years of experience in aircraft interior products.
Technical Skills and Experience :
Experience with Aircraft Interior certification and TSO product testing.Familiarity with FAA and EASA requirements related to TSO / ETSO and aircraft interior certification.Knowledge of 14 CFR and CS Part 21, Part 25 regulations.Ability to prepare test plans that meet FAA and EASA requirements and comply with airframe manufacturer specifications.Strong project management skills for tracking and maintaining schedules across multiple suppliers and projects.Risk management expertise to assess current issues and manage risks effectively.Exceptional organizational skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail are essential.Ability to work within or lead teams as needed, with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.Experience developing strong relationships with domestic and international regulatory compliance offices.Commitment to staying current with industry guidance and finding new compliance methods when appropriate.Computer Skills :
Experience with CATIA V4 or V5 (or similar software) is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.Familiarity with SAP and matrix parts lists with high variant diversity is a plus.Travel Requirements :
Employees should expect to travel up to 20% of the time domestically.
