Responsibilities Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) resource pool in a hospital setting Contract length options available between 13 and 52 weeks Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 6 : 45pm to 7 : 15am Required to work at least one holiday per 13-week assignment and two holidays during winter rotations Float and be reassigned to any ICU or PCU unit as needed, with reassignment possible every four hours ICU patient ratio is 2 : 1; PCU patient ratio is 5 : 1 EPIC EMR system is used (proficiency required) Duties include providing critical care nursing in both ICU and PCU units as assigned Must be comfortable with changing assignments and floating based on hospital needs Orientation modules are provided and may be completed before or during the first shift Return travelers must have a minimum one-year gap since any previous employment at this facility Travelers are not eligible if residence is within 100 miles; 50-99.9 miles eligible for one 13-week assignment, 0-49.9 miles eligible for one 13-week assignment at local rate with no extensions No Christmas RTO (Request Time Off) is permitted Requirements Active VA or compact RN license required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required Recent large level 1 or level 2 trauma experience required Experience in both ICU and PCU settings required EPIC EMR experience is mandatory Must provide two professional references for consideration Driver’s License and Social Security card copies required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-640656.
