Join the Manufacturing Engineering group in the Lockheed Martin Sensor Integration and Test Center. A Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for translating complex engineering blueprints and parts lists into easy to follow, all-encompassing work instructions for the mechanics / assemblers on the production floor.
You will be tasked with improving the overall process of the build using complex, cutting edge technologies and automation.
You will exercise your technical background to solve complex problems with troubleshooting and new development of processes for ever changing products being built in our factory.
Other job functions include RCCA, Lean Six Sigma improvement efforts, as well as developing process improvements in order to lower cost, increase quality, and deliver a better, repeatable product faster.
Desired skills
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel)
- CREO / ProE experience with a focus on tooling, taking a concept through to final design and fabrication
- Experience in troubleshooting problems and developing solutions
- Experience in process development and automation
- Experience writing technical work instructions
- Able to work in a cross function, teaming environment
- Knowledge of GD&T
- SAP Experience
- Knowledge of LEAN Six Sigma manufacturing, concepts, and techniques
