The Music Instructor creates, leads, and manages music programs that foster creativity, skill development, and self-expression for Vanguard Landing residents and day participants. This role blends teaching, program coordination, and support in an inclusive community setting.
What You'll Do :
- Develop and teach engaging music lessons and group programs tailored to each individual's goals and support plan.
- Encourage creativity and participation through ensembles, performances, and related activities.
- Coordinate music programming logistics, including scheduling, transportation, and supplies.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance with regulations.
- Support residents in building life skills such as memory, time management, and social interaction through music.
- Collaborate with staff, families, and community partners to enhance program impact.
- Participate in required training, staff meetings, and compliance activities.
What We're Looking For :
Minimum 1 year paid teaching music in school or private setting.Degree in Music or Fine Arts (preferred)Ability to engage and motivate individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.Must meet background checks, health clearances, and functional capacity requirements.A Few Benefits We Offer :
