JOB SUMMARY:
Plans and produces visual, audiovisual, multimedia and web content for public relations, communications and marketing purposes of Clemson University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
40% - Essential - GRAPHIC DESIGN:
Acts as lead creative in planning and executing graphic design projects from concept to final product. Creates graphic design deliverables for use on websites, social media, print/collateral pieces, e-newsletters, multimedia presentations, and other communication vehicles. Maintains college and university brand standards. Works with print vendors on development of print projects (quote approvals, file transmission, print proofing, etc.).
40% - Essential - WEB CONTENT AND DEVELOPMENT:
Acts as lead website developer to update and supervise the College of Veterinary Medicine website. Uses web analytics to target particular audiences and ensure the website is functioning and findable by a variety of audiences. Oversees digital publication of College materials including newsletters and magazines. Oversees student interns in website updates and acts as a resource for all College employees in matters related to the website. Engages in strategic planning and weekly update meetings in partnership with College of Veterinary Medicine's Office of Communications and Marketing colleagues. Maintains and updates shared log of open and completed jobs. Organizes repository of graphic design, photo and video projects for easy retrieval.
10% - Essential - SOCIAL/PHOTOGRAPHY CONTENT CREATION:
Populates social media with content. Shoots and edits photos in support of public relations, communication and marketing projects. Plans and organizes photo shoots.
10% - Essential - COPYEDITING:
Reviews and corrects content to ensure clarity, consistency, accuracy and adherence to style and brand guidelines. Responsible for refining grammar, punctuation, spelling and syntax while also checking for factual accuracy and brand tone alignment.

Education - Bachelor's Degree
Work Experience - 2+ years

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Expected Salary Range: $ 47,588.00 - $ 64,663.00
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's .
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
