About the Role
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Safety Engineer to join our Seattle team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring safe jobsite operations, compliance with company safety policies, and adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate brings a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for creating safe, efficient, and compliant project environments.
You’ll work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to identify risks, implement safety controls, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability on every project.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project teams in developing and implementing site-specific safety plans.
- Conduct daily and weekly jobsite safety inspections and report findings.
- Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for field personnel and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with project management to ensure full compliance with company and OSHA standards.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and lead corrective action plans.
- Maintain all required safety documentation, permits, and reporting logs.
- Assist in preconstruction planning to integrate safety early in project delivery.
- Act as a key point of contact for regulatory agencies and client representatives on safety matters.
- Support the company’s overall goal of zero incidents and a proactive, team-driven safety culture.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).3–7 years of construction safety experience with a general contractor (commercial project experience preferred).Knowledge of OSHA 1926 and Washington State WAC safety standards.Current OSHA 30-hour certification required; CHST or CSP certification a plus.Strong communication and leadership skills; able to engage and influence field teams effectively.Proficient in safety documentation software and Microsoft Office Suite.Why Join Us?
