Certified Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Medical Coder / Coding Specialist II.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze medical records and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes

Resolve coding edits, account checks, rejections, and denials to ensure proper reimbursement

Assist in training new coders and collaborate with various departments for coding accuracy

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Minimum of two years of coding experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office

Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Health Information Technician, Certified Professional Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Outpatient Coder required

Knowledge of payer guidelines and coding workflows

Ability to analyze clinical data and apply coding guidelines accurately
