Clinical Dietitian Responsibilities :
Responsible for assessing and implementing the nutritional needs of patients, staff, physicians, and community to provide the best clinical outcome, and developing nutritional programs to offer the best clinical outcomes.
- Assess the nutritional status of all at-risk patients, pediatric through geriatric as designated by department standards and implement nutrition interventions as appropriate.
- Counsel clients on appropriate population specific nutrition interventions.
- Access, retrieve and document required information through hospital electronic health record.
- Develop and implement programs to meet the needs of physicians, patients, staff and community.
- Acts as a resource of nutrition information for Food Service to implement normal and therapeutic diets.
- Receives and enters telephone orders from licensed independent practitioners for orders that are specific to the services provided by their department.
Clinical Dietitian Requirements :
Entry LevelOne to two (1-2) years of clinical experience in similar type facility preferred.Ability to read, write, hear, speak, and comprehend English language.Bachelors or Masters Degree in : Dietetics or Nutrition ScienceCompletion of an ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship, coordinated program, Graduate program.Licensure to be eligible to practice as a Certified Dietitian in the State of Wisconsin within one year of hire.Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.Salary Range : Up to $38.00 / hr (based on experience)
