Contract Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Contract Accountant to join our accounting team temporarily. The successful candidate will focus on performing preliminary manual accounting activities for Entitlement based billing and Fixed fee deals. Your contributions will help reduce the manual accounting cycle time for our permanent team, while also supporting automation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close processes and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Conduct manual validation of data in Excel reports.
- Aggregate data across multiple sheets for financial reporting.
- Prepare and post journal entries for various accounts.
- Reconcile statements and promptly resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Manage multiple accounting projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and lead implementation efforts.
- Assist in the development and documentation of accounting procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting.10 years of progressive accounting experience.Proficiency in performing month-end close and balance sheet account reconciliations.Basic VBA SQL coding skills in Excel.Ability to leverage AI tools as needed.Additional Skills & Qualifications
CPA certification or equivalent.Experience working with a fast-paced high-tech start-up or similar company.Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.Aptitude for information technology.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines.Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00 / hr.
