Job description

Responsible for working with school teams to facilitate the implementation of specific grant narrative objectives – with a primary focus on thematic curriculum development and implementation in each magnet program and ensure that all magnet curricula are fully aligned with TN State Standards

Essential Duty 1:

Collaborate with the magnet schools’ curriculum and PD teams on the development and alignment of new magnet theme curricula and train staff to deliver coaching and instruction through culturally responsive practices.

Essential Duty 2:

Serve as a liaison with outside consultants providing on-site training for school staff.

Essential Duty 3:

Create and maintain partnerships with community agencies participating in the project and offering services to families.

Position Specific Responsibility 1:

Schedule, develop, and participate in PD activities as outlined in grant narrative and in collaboration with the Coordinator Magnet School Curriculum or similar position.

Position Specific Responsibility 2:

Collaborate with school-level coaches and specialists to ensure magnet theme is aligned with and integrated into curriculum at all grade levels

Position Specific Responsibility 3:

Partner with site coordinator to support the magnet theme and program in all aspects of school-level implementation

Position Specific Responsibility 4:

Assist grade-level teams with planning and developing thematic curriculum units as outlined in the grant narrative

Position Specific Responsibility 5:

Work with School Principal to build systems and processes for thematic curriculum integration with the goal of program sustainability

Other Responsibilities:

Performs other duties or tasks as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the responsibilities in this job classification.

Education and Experience Requirements

Education (training/degree) :

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in a related field required.
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field preferred.

Licenses, Certifications or Registrations Required:

Must hold a certificate or license issued by the Tennessee Department of Education or similar agency with a related endorsement.

Experience:

Applicable teaching and curriculum development experience. Three (3) years’ teaching and curriculum development experience preferred.

·Knowledge of MSAP grant requirements and guidelines.

·Proposal and grant writing skills.

·Knowledge of magnet curricula, procedures, and program requirements

·Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.

·Ability to speak in front of large or small groups

Meal Deduction – Most Bransford office and district level employee have a meal deduction.They are scheduled 8.5 hours per day and get an hour lunch. Itinerants and retirees get a 30 minute lunch period and therefore do not have a meal deduction. All school based employees will not have a meal deduction. Auto Meal Deduction

Travel – Itinerant non-exempt employees who travel will be using the time clock differently than others and are paid for travel time between work locations. Employee does not or seldom travels
