Exposed Floor Design Group is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to join our dynamic and growing team in Grand Prairie, Texas. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates and proposals for a variety of construction projects while fostering strong client relationships. As a Senior Estimator, will coordinate with Pre-Con Coordinator on assigned bids, ensuring high-quality output in a fast-paced environment. You’ll lead your individual efforts in developing estimates and proposals for new construction and renovation projects across commercial, manufacturing, and mission-critical facilities of all sizes. Working closely with project managers and clients, you’ll analyze project needs and deliver conceptual, design-build, and hard bid estimates that align with client goals and expectations.
Core responsibilities of our Senior Construction Estimator :
- Perform all standard duties and responsibilities of an Estimator.
- Collaborative review of proposals prepared by team members to confirm scope accuracy, precise language, and pricing alignment with desired margins.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, project management teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect company values and exceed client expectations.
- Collaborate with the leadership to develop and implement pre-bid and sales strategies.
- Prepare detailed unit cost estimates and review pricing with the team to ensure accuracy; obtain feedback from project managers regarding estimating adequacy and current cost trends.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to support their professional growth and success within the company.
- Gather, track, and analyze actual costs versus estimated costs to maintain accurate project cost histories.
- Conduct technical and plan reviews as needed.
- Participate in project handoff meetings with the Project Management team as required.
- Support business development and sales initiatives in accordance with company policies and objectives.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to evolving business needs and priorities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
