Responsibilities
Manage capture processes to win new business and achieve aggressive sales goals in the defense market spaces. Handle multiple major pursuits, develop winning bids, manage teaming, brief senior leadership, and coordinate internal and external pursuit resources responsibly.
Required Skills
Organizational knowledge of the Department of Defense and the US Army.
Thorough knowledge of federal acquisition / procurement and contract management practices, including FAR.
Capability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Tracking and prioritization, assembly of teams, development of winning solutions, and leadership of the pursuit process.
Research and gather relevant information to address customer hot buttons, recommend features and benefits, and define win themes for proposal sections.
Strong understanding of IDIQs, GWACs, Schedules, RFPs, fixed price, cost‑reimbursable, and cost‑plus requirements.
Strong understanding of the proposal writing process.
High ethical and business standards.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under stress and tight deadlines, processing information quickly and accurately.
Ability to work overtime, often with limited advance notice.
Excellent computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint and Office suite.
Training in the Shipley Capture Planning process or equivalent.
Ability to work within and foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
Ability to travel.
Required Experience
U.S. Citizenship required.
BA / BS degree.
8‑10 years of capture management experience, demonstrating development of Capture Plans for key pursuits, solutioning, competitive assessments, risk review triggers and processes, pricing, price‑to‑win, recruiting / staffing, teaming arrangements / workshare, and proposal development.
