Job Summary and Qualifications
Responsible for the daily operations of Patient Services to ensure both patient and employee satisfaction, safety, and HACCP guidelines are maintained. Collaborates as a Food and Nutrition Services Leader of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities include :
- Overall operation and management of the patient tray delivery system.
- Coordination of daily floor stock delivery.
- Monitoring costs and providing financial reports as needed.
- Coordination and implementation of performance improvement and quality control programs for Food and Nutrition Services.
- Interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and counseling of staff in accordance with hospital HR policies.
- Ensuring all required documentation is completed in a timely manner.
- Ensuring compliance with HACCP guidelines and regulatory standards such as TJC, CMS, etc.
- Participating on hospital committees.
- Overseeing the Patient Computer system, acting as on-site administrator, and liaison with IT&S department.
- Overseeing Department temperature monitoring system.
- Acting as a resource and / or expert in food and nutrition information.
- Promoting consistent, positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service.
- Maintaining a patient-first philosophy and engaging in service recovery when necessary.
- Providing education support for staff, ensuring necessary certifications are maintained.
- Coordinating facility preceptors for Dietetic Interns.
- Coordinating and / or performing a variety of staff development functions.
- Attending Leadership development seminars, WebEx, conferences as available.
- Completing identified leadership development training in HealthStream.
- Practicing and adhering to the "Code of Conduct" and "Mission and Value Statement."
Qualifications : Required :
High School Diploma or GED RequiredMinimum of three years supervisory / management experience in healthcare setting RequiredFood Protection Management Certification (ServeSafe, NRFSP, Always Food Safe, Above Training, 360 Training, Prometric, etc.) RequiredPreferred :
Bachelors degree in Nutrition or Dietetics PreferredMinimum of two years healthcare Clinical Nutrition experience PreferredRegistered Dietician (RD) or Licensed Dietician (LD) preferred, or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferredWe are an equal opportunity employer.
