Job description

A Day in the Life

The Endoscopy Operating Unit is redefining gastrointestinal healthcare through purposeful innovation. We focus on the early detection and treatment of GI cancers and chronic diseases, addressing unmet clinical needs with technologies that are reshaping standards of care and improving outcomes for millions each year. The position will be responsible for serving as the strategic and operational partner to the Endoscopy President, driving execution of growth strategies, leading business development (BD) integration efforts, enabling transformation initiatives, and managing leadership team operations to accelerate Endoscopy vision. This position is remote to enhance our competitive edge and expand our cross-functional collaboration efforts. This role will require 20% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute Endoscopy's 3-5 year growth plan and immediate FY26 priorities. Align OU strategies with enterprise priorities. Lead annual and long-range planning processes.

  • Business Performance Management: Establish clear operating mechanisms to track performance against financial, operational, and strategic goals. Identify risks and drive corrective action.

  • Transformation Leadership: Lead strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, organizational effectiveness, and innovation readiness.

  • BD Integration: Partner with Strategy, BD, and functional leaders to integrate acquisitions and partnerships seamlessly into Endoscopy's business model and structure.

  • Chief of Staff Functions: Manage leadership operating rhythm (LT meetings, quarterly business reviews, offsites). Synthesize information for decision-making. Drive follow-up and accountability.

  • Talent and Organization Enablement: Partner with HRBP to support leadership team development, succession planning, and capability building aligned with Endoscopy's strategic needs.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements: To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume.

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 15+ years of strategic planning, business operations, BD integration, or consulting experience.

  • 10+ years of leadership experience managing teams or large cross-functional programs.

  • Proven ability to lead transformation and change management.

  • Exceptional executive presence, communication, and influence skills.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications (optional)

  • Healthcare, medtech, or regulated industry experience preferred.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $219,200.00 - $328,800.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns. Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
