Clinical Research Nurse
Job Summary
The Clinical Research Nurse works closely with physicians and other clinical team members to execute clinical research projects in an acute care / inpatient, ambulatory or ancillary care setting.
This includes project initiation, patient enrollment, managing research-related patient care, tracking progress, and coordinating study participation with other clinical care plans.
- Collects, records, and monitors clinical data in accordance with protocols, GCP, and IRB / FDA expectations.
- Serves as primary clinical contact person for study sponsors, patients, families, and other healthcare contacts / departments.
- Assists in maintaining accurate protocol processes and verifying patient scheduling and follow-up evaluations per protocol.
- Takes responsibility for drug / device inventory control and management.
- Participates directly in patient care duties associated with the project.
- Performs other related duties as required or requested.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care / cardiology experience preferred.
- Florida RN license, BLS, and ALS certification.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, flexibility in adapting to changing situations.
- Intermediate computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
