Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

Location : Birmingham, Alabama 35243

Healthcare Setting : Cardiac Stepdown Unit (1 : 4 nurse-to-patient ratio)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Job

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (6 : 30 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1400–$1500

Start Date : December 9, 2025

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

BLS and ACLS certifications (must be current at submission)

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in cardiac stepdown or stepdown nursing jobs

Ability to provide a permanent address at least 50 miles from the Birmingham healthcare facility

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients

Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in cardiac patient conditions

Administer prescribed medications and treatments

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes

Accurately document patient care in the EMR

Maintain compliance with hospital policies and healthcare procedures
