RCC is looking for on-call technicians to assist with desktop / network install / decommission and Break / Fix tickets within the Charlotte area.
This work will be conducted during normal business hours at a government site. Multiple openings!
Various skill sets.
Hours / Days vary.
These tickets might include the following :
- Desktop / Laptop / VDI / Monitor and peripheral installs Vendor Escorts Cable Infrastructure Patching Rack & Stack of network devices Decommission of network / server devices Cisco phone installations- Troubleshoot Cisco switches, power supplies, line cords, etc.
- Power Disconnect We are open to candidates who are entry to mid-level with certification in the IT Field or candidates with experience in cabling, data centers and / or Level 1 networking experience. Candidates with Desktop Support, Help Desk or prior hardware / software support experience is a plus.

- Network Technician - Level 1 - Troubleshoot, operate and maintain equipment during field dispatches. Can handle low complexity installs, moves, repairs, uninstalls, site survey, triage, vendor escort, rack and stack equipment, install / swap out network equipment including switches and routers.
- Can read blueprints and drawings.
- Install, terminate, label and test cabling related to telecom circuit demarcation extensions. Desktop Technician - Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains desktop and workstation equipment and software including telephones (std & VOIP), desktop / laptop computers (WIN7, WIN10, MAC OS), and printers.
