Position : HR Generalist
Location : Durham, NC (Hybrid)
Pay : $60,000 - $65,000 / yr (Depending on experience)
Experience :
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resources.
- SHRM or HRCI certification.
Education : Bachelor's or master’s degree in human resources, business, or related field.
Type : Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule : Monday Friday, 8am to 5pm
Greene Resources is seeking an HR Generalist to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description :
- Coordinate new employee orientation / onboarding, employee surveys, and tasks associated with off-boarding of staff upon employment termination.
- Ensure new hire training is completed by following up with employees.
- Assist and counsel employees with benefits and other questions.
- Coordinate recruitment of new applicants, including posting jobs, following up with applicants, scheduling interviews, conducting interviews (as applicable), and other related recruitment tasks.
- Assist with payroll processing, employee enrollment for insurance and retirement plans, and coordinating with benefit advisors to ensure that paperwork is completed.
- Maintain HRIS to ensure the database accurately reflects all employee information.
- Conduct and document reporting associated with background checks.
- Assist with unemployment claim responses and unemployment filings.
- Educate and enforce company policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Attend and participate in meetings and / or training as required.
- Other administrative duties and general assignments as directed.
Position Requirements :
- Multi-state experience with knowledge of CA and NY employment laws.
- Previous experience using the HRIS system. (Paylocity is preferred.)
- Effective consultative, coaching, and project management skills.
- Strong Business Acumen.
- Excellent interpersonal communication (oral and written) skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, be socially aware, and act respectfully with employees / management officials.
- Ability to focus for long periods of time, multi-task, adapt to changes in priorities.
